were decided on the Round 1 scores.
England
were put into 8th position, matching Italy who were
9th, on 320. The decision was reversed, as the 4th
none-counting scores were the same, 82, England found
themselves in 9th position. The best score of each
country was taken, Italys' top score was a 75. The
England best results were by Melissa Reid and Florentyne
Parker who were both on 76.
Round 1
European Girls' Team Championship is currently taking
place at the Golf National Golf Club, Paris, France
(par 72). The first round England team scores are:

82, Florentyna Parker (Royal Birkdale) 76, Melissa
Reid (Chevin) 76. With the top three scores to count
England are currently lying in eight place with a
total score of 230. The top 8 teams qualify for flight
one.
Angela Caton the team Captain and
Steve Cooper the team coach are pleased with the spirit
in the English camp, this is a very difficult course
with high rough and narrow fairways. Nearly every
competitor has found the rough during their game and
Angela said “The English girls fought hard for
their scores, we are hopefull to finish in the top
eight tomorrow”.
