Vivien Saunders finished second in the International Dutch Senior Championships

Vivien Saunders (Cambridge Meridian) finished second in the International Dutch Senior Championships, Vivien was the runner-up behind Nora Smit a Dutch lady taking the title. The English ladies had good results with Sue Pidgeon finishing 12th and Sue Hedges finishing 15th. The Championship was a 54 hole Strokeplay event and the golf course was challenging due to the man made greens.

Vivien won the Women’s British Open in 1977, following reinstatement as an amateur in September 2003, finished as runner up in the Inaugural Senior Ladies’ English Close Amateur Championships in her first event as an amateur. Vivien has had a good start to the year having finished 4th in the Spanish Senior event earlier this year.

Vivien is planning to play in many European events this year including; Portugal, Italy, Swedish, Swiss and all the English Championships; Close, Mid-Amateur, Stroke Play and the English Seniors’.
