Kiran Matharu has qualified for
the Final Qualifying stage of the Weetabix Women’s
British Open.

Kiran
Matharu (Sand Moor), has qualified for the Final Qualifying
stage of the Weetabix Women’s British Open.
Kiran is a member of the English Elite Girls’
Squad, and is the current holder of the English Girls’
Order of Merit.
Kiran made it through the qualifying stage finishing
14th out of 118, a total field of 83 players will
now proceed to the Final Qualifying at North Hants.
Kiran is one of three amateurs who will compete, the
other two amateurs being Lynn Kenny, Scotland and
Sarah-Jane Kenyon, Australia.
Judith Van Hagen, led the qualifiers with a six-under
par score of 66, one shot clear of Scottish Amateur
Lynn Kenny, with English Player Sophie Hunter a further
shot back on 68. A total field of 83 players will
now proceed to the
An estimated ten places are available through Final
Qualifying for the Weetabix Women's British Open which
will be played at Sunningdale from 29th July to 1st
August.
Kiran has a hectic time ahead, flying off on Tuesday
to Austria for the European Young Masters with fellow
squad member Florentyna Parker (Royal Birkdale).
