Florentyna Parker has won a bronze in the European Young Masters.

Florentyna Parker (224) won the Girls’ Bronze Medal and Kiran Matharu (226) was fifth in the European Young Masters Tournament at Murhof Golf Club, Austria. The Under 16 English team, Florentyna, Kiran, Tom Oliver and Tony Mitchell finished in sixth place with a team score of 674.

The girls’ Champion was Carlota Ciganda (Spain) on 216, and the boys Champion Zach Gould (Wales) on 210. The team title was taken by Spain with a total score of 644.

The top four boys and the top four girls have been selected for the Junior Ryder Cup Team, the remaining 4 were selected by the Captain, Andy Ingram (Wales). The team will play at Cleveland USA, 11 – 12 Sept, after the match they will go to the Ryder Cup at Oakland Hills Country Club, Michigan, USA.

Florentyna will represent Europe along with two Spanish girls, two Swedish girls and a German girl. Kiran has been selected as a non-travelling reserve. Oliver Fisher (England) was selected as a Captains choice.
