County Durham 's Anna Scott has won ELGA's Silver Tee award for the way she combines golf and education.
The 19-year-old from Consett & District is a student at Georgia State University in Atlanta, USA, where she's a key member of the golf team. On visits home this year, she's won the Bridget Jackson Bowl and the St Andrew 's Links Junior Ladies' Championship.
The award was announced at ELGA's annual meeting in Cheltenham. Anna was unable to attend because of exam commitments in the USA but sent a message saying: “I am proud and honoured to receive this prestigious award and will continue to work hard at my golf and studies.”
