Sian Reddick wins Golfer of Month award

England 's Sian Reddick has just been named Golfer of the Month by a leading college league in the USA.
Sian won the award for November from the Big 12 a conference of a dozen universities and said: It's nice to win, this is an honour and it means people rate you as a player.
The 20-year-old from Sene Valley was the 2004 English strokeplay champion and is in her second year at Baylor University , Texas .
During November she returned to competition after two weeks off with a back injury and finished fifth in Kent Youel Invitational tournament in Hawaii . It was a good result because the conditions were very hard with winds of 40-50mph, she said.
Earlier in the season Sian tied first in a tournament in Colorado and is currently second on the Baylor women's team with a 74 stroke average. Nationally, she's ranked in the top three for her performance on par threes, where her scoring average is 2.92, and for greens hit in regulation.
Sian is home in Kent for the Christmas holidays and will return to competitive action in February in the Central District Invitational in Parrish ,
Florida .
