Golf clubs in England are to be awarded almost £1.2 million as part of the CCDP. The CCDP is an innovative collaboration between the Government, Sport England and sports governing bodies aimed at improving facilities. Applications are invited from clubs immediately for suitable modernisation projects. DRIVING CLUBS - Driving clubs must not have a characteristic time greater than 257 microseconds when measured on pendulum testing apparatus approved by R&A Rules Limited - see also Appendix II, 5a of the Rules of Golf. Penalty for Breach of Condition - Disqualification.

The list of Non-Conforming Drivers is available from the R&A Website. Players will need to check the list to see if their Drivers are conforming and therefore accepted in the 2005 Championships. Link to R&A
